When the Federal Reserve wraps up its latest meeting, it will likely point to strong economic growth, low unemployment and rising inflation as reasons to stay on a path of gradually lifting interest rates. It is unlikely, however, to make any interest rate moves Wednesday August 1st.
Speaking more on rates….Per MBS Highway, the average 30 year loan is APPRX 5/8 of a percent higher from this time last year.
MLB Baseball….the trade deadline is over….No Major last second moves that shocked the world, but some very savvy moves by the contenders and stock piling of young talent for those in rebuilding phases. The AL and the NL had a rough last ten games as NO TEAM had a better record than 7-3 and the Padres really struggled going 2-8.
Now let’s jump back to Southern NV and especially Las Vegas, per Business Facilities.com…..Las Vegas Currently has 2.2 million residents, this number is projected to grow to 2.7 million by 2025. Southern Nevadans not only have the world-famous Las Vegas Strip in their backyards, but they have the advantage of being within driving distance of unique recreation activities and national parks like Mt. Charleston, Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon.
As the third-fastest growing metropolitan area in the U.S., the community is preparing for a rapidly growing population and providing the next generation with the skills they need to be a part of a successful workforce. The Clark County School District graduates students from some of the best magnet schools and career and technical academies in the country. And the University of Nevada, Las Vegas—ranked as the #1 most diverse university—also features the top hospitality program in the world.
For all of the WNBA fans out there, the All Star game was last weekend in Minnesota and the 2019 All Star game will be here in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay
